Chicken Tikka Recipe

Chicken Tikka

Chicken tikka is a popular dish in Indian and Pakistani cuisine that consists of marinated pieces of chicken that are grilled or baked. The chicken is typically marinated in a mixture of yogurt and spices, such as turmeric, cumin, coriander, and garam masala, which gives it a distinct flavor and a slightly tangy taste.

To make chicken tikka, the chicken pieces are first marinated in the spice mixture for several hours, or even overnight, to allow the flavors to penetrate the meat. The marinated chicken is then wered and grilled over charcoal or baked in the oven until it is cooked through and slightly charred.

Chicken tikka is often served with naan bread, rice, or a salad, and is sometimes accompanied by a spicy yogurt sauce or chutney. It can be enjoyed as a main course or as part of a larger meal, and is a popular dish for special occasions and celebrations.

1 pound boneless chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces

1/2 cup plain yogurt

2 tablespoons lemon juice

2 tablespoons olive oil

1 tablespoon ginger paste

1 tablespoon garlic paste

1 teaspoon cumin powder

1 teaspoon coriander powder

3. Soak the skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent them from burning.

4. Preheat your grill or oven to 400°F.

5. Thread the marinated chicken pieces onto the skewers.

6. Grill or bake the chicken skewers for 10-12 minutes, flipping them halfway through the cooking time, until the chicken is cooked through and slightly charred on the outside.

7. Serve hot with your favorite chutney or dipping sauce.
