Recipe for tacos that you can try at home. This recipe serves (4-6 people).
Ingredients:
• 1 lb ground beef (or ground turkey or chicken)
• 1 onion, diced
• 3 cloves garlic, minced
• 2 tbsp tomato paste
• 1 tbsp chili powder
• 1 tsp ground cumin
• 1/2 tsp dried oregano
• Salt and pepper, to taste
• 1/2 cup beef or chicken broth
• 12-16 corn tortillas
• Shredded lettuce
• Diced tomatoes
• Shredded cheese
• Salsa
• Sour cream
• Lime wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
1. Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the ground beef and cook until browned, breaking it up into small pieces with a wooden spoon.
2. Please incorporate the tomato paste, chili powder, cumin, oregano, salt, and pepper.
3. Add the beef or chicken broth to the skillet and bring to a simmer. Cook for 10-15 minutes, until the sauce has thickened and the meat is cooked through.
4. While the meat is cooking, warm the corn tortillas in a dry skillet over medium-high heat, flipping them once, until they are lightly browned and pliable.
5. To assemble the tacos, spoon a few tablespoons of the meat mixture onto each tortilla. Top with shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, shredded cheese, salsa, and a dollop of sour cream.
Serve the tacos hot, with lime wedges on the side for squeezing over the top. Enjoy!
