Urad Dal recipe:(Dal Mash)

Ingredients:
• 1 cup Urad Dal
• 3 cups Water
• 2 tbsp Oil
• 1 tsp Cumin Seeds
• 1 Onion, chopped
• 1 Tomato, chopped
• 1 Green Chilli, chopped
• 1 tsp Ginger-Garlic Paste
• 1 tsp Turmeric Powder
• 1 tsp Red Chilli Powder
• Salt to taste
• Coriander Leaves for garnishing
Instructions:
1. Rinse the Urad Dal thoroughly and soak it in water for at least 30 minutes.
2. In a pressure cooker, heat the oil and add cumin seeds.
3. Once the cumin seeds start to sizzle, add the chopped onion and sauté until it turns golden brown.
4. Add the chopped tomato, green chilli, and ginger-garlic paste. Cook until the tomato is soft and mushy.
5. Add turmeric powder, red chilli powder, and salt to taste. Mix well.
6. Drain the water from the soaked Urad Dal and add it to the pressure cooker.
7. Add 3 cups of water and mix well.
8. Close the pressure cooker lid and cook on high flame for 2 whistles.
9. Once the pressure cooker cools down, open the lid and mix well.
10. Garnish with coriander leaves and serve hot with rice or chapati.
